FearTheWave announces NIL program for Tulane Student-Athletes
Details on how you can participate to help Tulane student-athletes take advantage of the new NIL legislation
Today, FearTheWave is proud to announce the creation of the FTW Collective Group, a name, image and likeness (“NIL”) program to promote Tulane student-athletes. This program will allow Tulane supporters, fans and alumni to donate to a collective fund used to create and connect NIL deals for Tulane student-athletes.
The NIL opportunities offered will focus on helping Tulane student-athletes take advantage of the NCAA new legislation allowing collegiate athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness. This program will serve as a matchmaker for players who want to get involved in NIL deals.
The FTW Collective Group
The FTW Collective Group is a crowd-sourced NIL program for Tulane student-athletes to become spokespeople for FearTheWave and to be featured on FearTheWave’s upcoming podcasts including The Jimmy O Show and FearTheWave Cast. In addition, FearTheWave will partner with Tulane student-athletes to highlight charities and businesses in the New Orleans community.
The Collective Group is accepting donations from Tulane supporters, fans and alumni to accomplish their initial goal of raising $100,000.00. This is a not-for-profit venture[1] and all money aside from minor administrative costs will go to the student-athletes using their names, images and likenesses to promote charity and community-based ventures. The involvement of any of the founding and governing members of the FTW Collective group is, and will be, pro bono.
“Providing a means for supporters to help Tulane’s outstanding student-athletes promote and highlight their favorite charitable causes was a driving force behind the creation of this club,” said co-founder, Jimmy Ordeneaux. “We want everyone to win here - the student-athletes, the donors, as well as the charities and businesses they support.”
Any supporter giving a donation of $250 or more will be invited to a special meet and greet with FTW student-athletes chosen to participate in the NIL program. These individuals will have the opportunity to meet the student-athletes and take an autograph and/or photograph.
Participating student-athletes will also be guests on one of the FearTheWave podcasts for an extended interview where supporters will have the opportunity to submit questions to be answered by their favorite player.
“The NIL process can be intimidating and some don’t know where to turn when they want to get involved with NIL deals,” said the FTW Collective Group co-founder Kelly Comarda. “We want to serve as a resource to those interested in connecting with Tulane student-athletes.”
